Lapcraft Desktop — Windows

How to install, allow SmartScreen, sign in with your Vectron Racing account, and sync ACC, iRacing and Automobilista 2 telemetry.

Official installer

Get Lapcraft Desktop for Windows

The desktop client watches your telemetry folders and uploads sessions in the background. You analyse them on the website — the app does not replace the Lapcraft dashboard.

Download for Windows (v0.1.17)

64-bit Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11. Microsoft WebView2 is required and is already on most PCs.

Before you start

Runtime

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione

    MoTeC .ld + .ldx

Install

Download only from this site. Windows may warn that the publisher is unknown — that is expected until the installer is code-signed.

If SmartScreen blocks the file

The blue Microsoft Defender window is a Windows dialog, not part of Lapcraft.

  1. 1

Double-click the installer you downloaded from this site.

  2. 2

On the blue warning, open More info.

  3. 3

    Choose Run anyway.

  4. 4

The Lapcraft Desktop Setup wizard opens next.

Windows shows those buttons in the language of your PC (Más información, Mais informações, Altre informazioni).

Finish setup

  1. 1In the wizard, click Install.
  2. 2When it finishes, open Lapcraft Desktop from the Start menu.

Use your Vectron Racing account. There is no separate desktop password.

  1. 1Launch Lapcraft Desktop.
  2. 2Enter the same email and password as the website.
  3. 3Click Sign in.

Two-step verification

If MFA is on, we email a 6-digit code. Type it in the single field and confirm. The code expires — request a new one if it does.

API URL (leave it alone in production)

Advanced settings can change the API URL. On the public site it must stay https://www.vectronracing.com. Uploads go to upload.vectronracing.com automatically.

First setup — once

After sign-in, open Settings (gear) on the dashboard and save before you race.

  1. 1

    Platform

Confirm the API URL is https://www.vectronracing.com.

  2. 2

    Simulators

Enable ACC, iRacing and/or Automobilista 2. Use Auto-detect or Browse if the folder is not the default.

  3. 3

    General

Turn on Start with Windows, Minimize to tray when closing, and upload notifications.

  4. 4

    Language

Follow the system, or pick Portuguese, English, Spanish or Italian.

Live coach (optional, AMS2). Some builds can show on-track text or voice cues. Leave it off unless you installed a LiveCoach build and have the track pack cached.

Default telemetry folders

  • ACCDocuments\Assetto Corsa Competizione\MoTeC
  • iRacingDocuments\iRacing\telemetry

While you drive

Leave the client signed in and Online. You do not drag files into the window.

  1. 1Check the status pill says Online.
  2. 2Minimise or close the window — the client stays in the system tray.
  3. 3Drive. When the session writes telemetry, the client uploads it.
  4. 4Open your session on vectronracing.com to analyse.

What you see on the dashboard

Online / Offline
Green means uploads can run. Red means a local queue until you reconnect.
Sent / In queue
How many sessions went up this run, and what is still waiting.
Connections
One card per enabled simulator: watching, last upload, folder.
Activity
Recent uploads, or a short “how it works” guide when the queue is empty.

System tray

The orange icon sits near the clock. That is the running app — not a second install.

Show or hide
Left-click the orange tray icon.
Force sync
Open the tray menu and choose the sync command.
Quit
Tray menu → Quit. That is the only way to fully exit.

The window close button (×) hides Lapcraft. It does not quit. If the app “vanished”, look in the tray.

If something looks wrong

SmartScreen blocks the installer
More info → Run anyway, only if you downloaded from this site.
Stays Offline
Check the network, then sign out and in. Do not change the API URL.
Files sit in the queue
Wait about a minute with Online showing. Then force sync from the tray.
iRacing does not upload on track
Expected. The client sends the .ibt after the session ends.
AMS2 captures nothing
Enable Automobilista 2 in Settings. In the sim, Shared Memory must be Project CARS 2.
The window disappeared
Open the tray next to the clock. × only hides the window.
Storage full on the site
Delete old sessions on the website, or upgrade the plan.
